SUMMARY
This candidate will assemble a variety of products or perform many key functions in the assembly area including delicate mechanical assembly and electrical integration. Duties may also include any functions auxiliary to the actual assembly function.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performs mechanical assembly and electrical integration of parts and assemblies to meet specifications
• Performs some assembly tasks under optical magnification
• Performs mechanical joining techniques including precision welding, brazing and soldering.
• Uses hand tools and power tools correctly for assembly
• Follows detailed work instructions, assembly procedures or verbal instruction to perform tasks
• Performs quality checks and recognizes/identifies out of specification units and repairs as necessary
• Provides detailed feedback on assembly techniques to proactively improve manufacturing process quality
• Develops assembly knowledge of work group projects; learns assembly of all key projects
• Develops working knowledge of job packets, work orders, quality travelers, and bills of material
• Maintains production tools and equipment, and a neat and clean work area
• Wears personal protective equipment at all times and observes health, safety and all other company policies
• Must successfully complete required safety training (including but not limited to drugs and alcohol, electrical, emergency response, fire, first aid, health and hygiene, PPE, SIPP, risk reporting, IT security, hazardous materials, driving) assembly techniques to proactively improve manufacturing process quality
• Develops assembly knowledge of work group projects; learns assembly of all key projects

REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of related experience
• Demonstrates excellent hand eye coordination and attention to detail
• Must be capable of working with various other individuals in a team environment

This is a contract position located in Northwest Houston.

Salary range is $16 - $17 per hour, depending on experience.
